On Tuesday morning, authorities detained former fashion CEO Mike Jeffries, his partner Matthew Smith, and James Jacobson, who was allegedly acting as an intermediary between the two.

According to federal authorities, the males committed “violent and exploitative” sexual acts by pressure, deception, and force.

The lawyer for Mr. Jeffries told the news on Tuesday that they would “respond in detail to the allegations after the Indictment is unsealed.” Mr. Jeffries and his partner have previously denied any wrongdoing through their attorneys.

Mr. Smith’s attorney has been contacted for additional commentary. Regarding the most recent events, A&F chose not to comment.

Following allegations by the news that Mike Jeffries and his partner sexually exploited and mistreated individuals at events they threw in their New York homes and hotels across the globe, the FBI launched an inquiry last year.

A network of recruiters and a middleman were involved in a complex operation to find men for these gatherings, according to the research.

US attorney for the Eastern District of New York Breon Peace accused Mr. Jeffries on Tuesday of using his riches, influence, and position as CEO of A&F “to traffic men for his own sexual pleasure” and for his partner Mr. Smith’s pleasure.
