Since the Israel offensive started, more than 25,000 people have died in Gaza, according to the health ministry run by Hamas.

As of right now, Israel's offensive in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 25,000 people, according to the health ministry run by Hamas.

It stated that 178 people had died in the previous 24 hours, making it one of the deadliest days of the conflict to date.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once more opposed the establishment of a Palestinian state as hostilities persisted.

The US and Israel “clearly see things differently” in regards to a two-state solution, according to the White House.

Following the attack on October 7, when Hamas militants killed 1,300 people in southern Israel and kidnapped over 240 others, Israel launched its offensive.

As a means of securing the release of Palestinian prisoners and as a “necessary step” against the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories, Hamas described the October assault in its first public account, which was published on Sunday.

Right now, Israel’s air and ground campaign is concentrated on the southern part of Gaza, where the military believes that top Hamas leaders are hiding out in or under Khan Younis.

There, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed to have found a second tunnel that was about 2,700 feet (830 meters) long and contained blast doors and booby-traps.

Israel believes that about 20 hostages, including children, were held in this tunnel, which was visible in IDF footage and contained mattresses and cells. However, when the tunnel was discovered, none were located.

In the north of the Gaza Strip, where Hamas is believed to have taken advantage of a gap near the town of Jabalia as Israel moved troops and tanks south, Israeli soldiers have also come under fresh attacks.

Over three months after the conflict began, Israel continues to encounter strong opposition throughout Gaza, despite the fact that its army greatly outclasses Hamas’s capabilities.
