People with disabilities can now travel for free on the Orange Line rail and Metro Bus services thanks to a new initiative launched by the Punjab government.
The “Himmat Card” holder is entitled to free travel on both lines, according to a Metro Bus Authority spokesman.
Passengers must show their Himmat Card at the ticket counter in order to receive this perk.
People with impairments will be able to commute more easily thanks to this free transit service, which will be available every day. All Himmat Card holders are eligible to use this service for free, according to confirmation from the administration.
