A large coalition is formed to shield members of the left-wing “Squad” from the flood of election expenditures.

To shield progressive left-wing “Squad” members of Congress from an onslaught of expenditures before the November elections, a coalition of around two dozen liberal groups has come together.

In response to projected big-money spending by organizations connected to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the alliance Reject AIPAC was established. The coalition aims to support Democratic lawmakers like Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar, Missouri Representative Cori Bush, New York Representative Jamaal Bowman, and Pennsylvania Representative Summer Lee.

Due to their criticism of Israel, AIPAC has threatened to take aim at those progressive lawmakers as well as others.
