After tripping over a step in her garden in June, Archibald, 30, broke two bones in her leg and tore ligaments off the bone.
She has eleven Olympic medalists from this summer’s Games in Paris with her in the 23-person squad.
Among them are Sophie Capewell, Katy Marchant, and reigning sprint world champion Emma Finucane, who united to win Great Britain’s historic first-ever Olympic women’s team sprint gold.
In addition to Archibald, other medallists from Paris for the women’s endurance events include Josie Knight, Anna Morris, Jess Roberts, and Neah Evans, who earned Madison Silver.
Silver medallists in men’s team pursuit Dan Bigham, Ethan Hayter, Charlie Tanfield, and Ollie Wood are also competing in Ballerup.
Bigham will compete in his final race for Great Britain before retiring to assume the position of head of engineering for the Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe professional cycling team.
The Sport website, Red Button, and TV will all carry live coverage of the World Championships, which take place from October 16 to October 20.
