The woman’s reason for being in a bin and the duration of time she was there before the vehicle unintentionally picked her up are unknown.
According to the fire department, the woman was probably inside a trashcan when it was scooped up by a vehicle in Manchester, New Hampshire, during one of its regular stops.
The woman was thrown into the hopper at the back of the car, stuck among the trash, and she lived through the waste being crushed four times.
“All you heard was screaming,” neighbor Amanda Czzowitz said to Boston 25, a local media source.
“She was in agony.”
A worker eventually noticed her after spotting her on a camera installed inside the car.
Her reason for being in the garbage and the duration of her stay there prior to the lorry’s arrival are unknown.
When firemen arrived, the woman was standing and screaming for assistance, according to a statement from the fire department.
She was saved by firefighters using a stretcher that was lowered into the truck via the roof by means of a crane.
According to Manchester fire chief Ryan Cashin, “I have never seen one like this,” NBC Boston said.
Although the woman’s precise condition is unknown, she was admitted to the hospital with critical injuries.
