Pakistan is located on the border of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, hence natural disasters like earthquakes are frequent there.
Since the Indian plate is tectonically pushing against the Eurasian plate from the north, a significant portion of South Asia is experiencing seismic activity.
The significance of disaster preparedness and mitigation methods is highlighted by recent earthquakes.
