The fourth trailer for the Despicable Me franchise has finally been released.
On July 3, 2024, Gru and his henchmen will return to cinema screens as Steve Carell reprises his role as the megavillain who has ultimately chosen to settle down and become a family man.
The fourth installment will also feature the return of Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan, Chris Renaud, Dana Gaier, and Pierre Coffin.
Additionally, Will Ferrell and Sofia Vergara, who play new villain characters Maxime Le Malby and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina, respectively, will be featured in Despicable Me 4.
As new cast members, Joey King, Madison Polan, Stephen Colbert, and Chloe Fineman will also be joining.
In the first half, the wicked Gru adopted three daughters who helped him discover his weakness; in the second part, he falls in love with his espionage partner, Lucy Wilde.
While the most recent episode of Despicable Me 3 features Gru becoming a father as he welcomes son Gru Jr. with Lucy, the previous section included the unexpected reveal of Gru’s long-lost twin brother Dru (also played by Steve Carrell).
Despicable Me 4 is coming after the third installment broke the Shrek franchise’s record as the highest-grossing animated picture in 2017 by crossing the $1 billion mark.
