The co-stars of “Bad Girls,” Andie MacDowell and Mary Stuart Masterson, got back together on Thursday for Drew Barrymore’s talk show. She did not anticipate meeting one person, though.
The 48-year-old host was taken aback when MacDowell and Masterson gave her an emotional surprise appearance, and she was shocked to see Dermot Mulroney arrive.
Barrymore gave the 60-year-old actor a tearful embrace. “I might cry, but I’m so happy to see you,” Mulroney said to Barrymore.
They sat on the couch and shared a tissue. “Oh my God, Dermot, I was just watching you in ‘Anyone But You,’ which I love, by the way,” the two said. “It’s such a good movie,” Barrymore said, breaking down in tears.
The actress from Ever After went on to reminisce about their collaboration, saying, “You were so good to me.” I was a lost seventeen-year-old. Even though I was having a great time, I didn’t know how to look for myself. And you looked after me so well.
“You were so kind to me and, like, protected me,” Barrymore continued. before jokingly escalating the tension with, “I mean, I was wild, guys.” I was incredibly wild.
Dermot Mulroney apologized to the crowd, saying, “Sorry guys, I cry now,” after losing control of his tears. Barrymore retorted, “By the way, it’s so nice to see a man cry.”
