According to the nation’s Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), Andrew Kamanga participated in a fraud scheme and used false pretenses to receive government funding.
According to the DEC, the 57-year-old utilized the funds to pay for two friends’ earlier this year visits to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Along with Reuben Kamanga, general secretary of Faz, two other people who traveled to the event as members of Faz’s support staff, Madalitso Kamanga and Jairous Siame, have also been prosecuted.
It was discovered after an examination that Madalitso Kamanga and Siame were neither executives or in positions of authority inside Faz.
