Gillian Anderson, best recognized for her work in The Crown, has recently spoken openly about her parental experience.
The 55-year-old actress opened out about her life after giving birth to daughter Piper Maru Klotz in 1994, while filming the science fiction thriller The X-Files, admitting she knew nothing at the time.
In an interview with Grazia magazine, she admitted, “I didn’t know what the f*** I was doing!”
“You’re upside down and feeling a little crazy. “And I had help,” she continued.
For those who are unfamiliar, Gillian Anderson played Dana Scully in the popular television series The X-Files from 1993 to 2002.
The show follows FBI agents Fox Mulder (played by David Duchovny) and Scully as they investigate bizarre, unsolved cases known as ‘X-Files’, which are usually packed with supernatural elements or conspiracy theories.
Gillian also revealed that she returned to work just ’10 days’ after her child was born, recalling, “10 days after a C-section. I would not have chosen that, but I didn’t have a choice.
