This action is a component of a brand-new pilot project that aims to enhance service delivery and efficiency within the public health sector in the province.
Hospitals in five districts—Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Dera Ghazi Khan Teaching Hospital, Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan, Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, and Children’s Hospital in Faisalabad—will be the first focus of the trial project.
For this move, which will see important departments outsourced to private companies, the Punjab Health Department has started making preparations.
The anesthesia department, which is in charge of giving patients anesthesia, as well as emergency rooms, blood transfusion services, children’s emergency rooms, and renal departments.
