Governor Josh Shapiro informed reporters that Corey Comperatore, who was fifty, passed away as a “hero”.He said, “His wife told me that he [dived] on his family to protect them.
According to Mr. Shapiro, two more shooting victims are still in critical condition.
Authorities reported that Mr. Comperatore was a resident of Sarver, Pennsylvania.
He was a “avid supporter of the former president and was so excited to be there last night with him in the community” , said Shapiro, adding that “Political disagreements can never, ever, be addressed through violence.”
According to Mr. Shapiro, Mr. Comperatore “most especially” loved his family, “loved his community,” and attended church every Sunday.
He has commanded that flags be flown at half mast in remembrance of the deceased.
Dawn Comperatore Schafer, the sister of Mr. Comperatore, claimed that “the one man we loved the most” had died because of “hatred for one man.”
On Facebook, Ms. Comperatore Schafer described her brother as a “hero that shielded his daughters”.
“His wife and daughters recently experienced the unfathomable and inconceivable.
