KARACHI: As the cyclone Asna moves away from the coastal belt of Sindh, it is currently located roughly 300 kilometers from Karachi and Gwadar and 230 kilometers from Ormara, according to an advisory released by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Saturday.
According to the advisory, the system is predicted to continue tracking west-southwest toward the Balochistani coastal belt and eventually approaching Oman.
The Met Office verified this in the advisory, saying that the storm is likely to diminish and dissipate in the sea, posing no threat of reaching landfall on any coast.
The meteorological authority warned that because sea winds are predicted to blow over the city at 60 to 70 km/h, the sea conditions could stay choppy during this period.
