RAWALPINDI: Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), lost his appeal for acquittal in the £190 million case on Thursday before an accountability court.
All sides’ arguments were heard in the case, and the decision was made during the hearing at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
The investigating officer, the final witness in the reference, will be cross-examined on September 13 (tomorrow). This date has been set by the court.
The accountability court postponed the plea hearing on September 10 in order to allow the former prime minister and his wife to remain in prison until today.
Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi had previously appeared in court during Judge Nasir Javed Rana’s accountability court hearing at Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail.
