Monday saw the multi-party conference (MPC) announce its “unconditional support” for Palestinian self-determination in the face of Israeli aggression.
In line with resolutions from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations, the MPC called for a resolution to the Palestinian issue in its communiqué.
Palestine Solidarity Day was honored by Muslims worldwide, and a discussion on the Gaza issue was conducted in Islamabad. But the PTI of Imran Khan was not present at the moot.
The MPC is being hosted by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Zardari was seated near to PML-N President Nawaz Sharif.
Political figures from a variety of parties, such as MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, ANP chairman Aimal Wali Khan, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, JUI-F chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman, ANP Chief Khalid Magsi, and Balochistan Awami Party Khalid Magsi.
