Israeli media reports that the soldiers were killed on Wednesday after unintentionally being hit by Israeli tank fire.
It took place in Jabalia, in the northern part of Gaza, where Hamas rebels are fighting Israeli forces.
This week, after previously leaving the town, troops returned, claiming Hamas had relocated there.
Over ten thousand civilians have left Jabalia since the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began its airstrike operation on Saturday. On Monday, the troops returned to Jabalia.
There has been further fighting, as has the town of Rafah in the south, where approximately half of Gaza’s 2.3 million civilian population had sought refuge.
