The drone strikes were carried out close to an army facility in the Isfahan province, which is home to multiple Iranian nuclear sites, Iranian officials told foreign media. Three explosions were reported to have been heard in this vicinity.
Iran’s space agency spokesman Hossein Dalirian posted on social networking site X that multiple drones “have been successfully shot down by the country’s air defence, there are no reports of a missile attack for now.”
The nuclear facilities located in Isfahan have been fully secured, according to the Iranian news outlet Tasnim.
