Following showers this morning in several areas of the city, Karachi is currently experiencing a fresh round of cold weather, according to a Friday report from Geo News.
Light rain was falling this morning in some areas of the busy city. The places that are getting rain are Saddar, MA Jinnah Road, Old City Area, Shahra-e-Faisal, II Chundrigar Road, and surrounding areas.
Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Gulshan-e-Iqbal were shown love by the showers.
On Tuesday, there were rains in a few different parts of the city, such as Super Highway, Nooriabad, Kathor, and the districts around them.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had previously issued a warning, advising visitors and residents of mountainous areas to exercise caution due to the possibility of snowfall affecting transportation in the country’s upper regions today.
According to meteorological specialists, a westerly wave is affecting the country’s western and upper regions and is probably going to stay for a few days.
They predicted that during that period, isolated locations in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galiyat, and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa were likely to experience heavy rainfall or snowfall, while cloudy weather with rain (snowfall over mountains) was expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Potohar region, Upper Punjab, and Kashmir.
They said that there might have been some fog in upper Sindh and Punjab.
Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Garhi Dupatta, Kotli, Rawalpindi, Murree, Islamabad, Mangla, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Sialkot, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Chakwal, Narowal, Hafizabad, Khanpur, Sheikhupura, Attock, Joharabad, Dir, Kakul, Patan, Parachinar, Balakot, Charat, Drosh, Bacha Khan, Mir Khani, Chitral, Kalam, Peshawar, Saidu Sharif, Quaidabad, North Karachi,While snowfall was only observed in Murree, other locations included Kemari, Saadi Town, Nazimabad, Malir, Old Area (Airport), Masroor Base, Surjani Town, University Road, Faisal Base, Thatta, and Ormara.
Leh had the lowest temperature of -07°C on Wednesday, while Lahore recorded a maximum of 22°C and a minimum of 9.3°C.
