Leclerc, who in three races became the second driver to defeat Max Verstappen, suggested that Red Bull’s car might not be suitable for the Montreal circuit.
Leclerc stated: “Monaco was especially helpful to Ferrari.” Here, it might be impartial.
“I don’t think it puts too much in light the strength of the Red Bull so it might again be an opportunity for us.”
Ferrari is the “favorite” to win in Canada, according to Lando Norris of McLaren, who defeated Verstappen’s Red Bull team to take second place in Miami last month. He remarked, “But it’s going to be close.”
The Red Bull’s inability to handle kerbs, which was a major factor in their lack of speed in Monaco, where Verstappen was only able to finish sixth, is something that both Norris and Leclerc think could be a vulnerability around Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Leclerc stated: “I don’t think their strength is kerb riding and here there is quite a lot of kerb riding.”
Rain is also expected over the weekend at different times.
“I always knew Monaco would not be an easy weekend,” Verstappen remarked. We wanted to work in a direction that made sense. Step by step, it requires time. We’ll work to make that better.
