Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) politician Maleeka Ali Bokhari commended Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her timely intervention in removing her name off the exit control list (ECL), commonly known as the no-fly list, allowing her to visit her ailing sister in Australia.
Maleeka had asked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to enable her to meet her “mother figure” sister in Australia, who had suffered a brain haemorrhage and was on her deathbed.
Maryam acknowledged her plea and informed her, via her social media account, X, that she will speak with the appropriate authorities.
“Let me communicate with the relevant authorities, Maleeka. I hope you have submitted a formal written request. May Allah bless your sister with good health!”
