Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, told his players not to do it again, saying he was “so upset” about the argument over who would take the penalty in their 6-0 victory over Everton.
Cole Palmer, Chelsea’s usual spot-kick taker, scored his fourth goal after Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke disputed about who would take it.
Pochettino declared, “I can’t accept this kind of behaviour.”
“I told them it’s the last time I want to see this kind of behaviour.”
“It is not possible to behave in this manner following this performance,” he continued. We must adapt and think as a team if we want to be a fantastic squad.”
After an odd 60-second altercation involving five players, Palmer scored the Blues’ tenth successful penalty of the season in the 64th minute.
