On August 24, 2024, Plant for Pakistan, in association with the Punjab Forest Department and the Military Land and Cantonment Board, will begin a tree-planting initiative at Murree. This project is a component of the Green Pakistan effort.
Helicopters from the Pakistan Army will help distribute seeds around the Murree tehsil as part of the operation. Lawrence College Green Youth Ambassadors will take part in the planting activities.
The general public, young people, people of color, and visitors are all invited to join the campaign, according to the organizers. The project seeks to improve the natural beauty of Murree and make Pakistan greener.
The authorities are stressing that every visitor has a part to play in Murree’s reforestation and are calling on the public to show responsibility by taking part in the tree-planting activities.
