Ahead of the Denver Nuggets’ playoff matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Nikola Jokic was crowned NBA MVP, putting him at the top of the basketball world for the third time in his last four seasons.
Jokic defeated Dallas Mavericks forward Luka Doncic and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to win the prize.
A player has only earned three MVPs in four seasons seven times.
