At UFC 303 last week, American Chandler, 38, was scheduled to take on McGregor; however, the bout was called off when the 35-year-old Irishman withdrew due to a fractured toe.
Chandler issued McGregor an invitation to a rescheduled fight at the Sphere in Las Vegas on September 14th, during Noche UFC.
“I’ve been offered Islam Makhachev in October – but if Conor McGregor’s little pinky toe is ready by September, let’s do Sphere,” Chandler stated regarding X., external.

Following his injury, former featherweight and lightweight champion McGregor promised he would return soon.
In addition, McGregor said he was experiencing “deep mental pain” while he watched Alex Pereira defend his light-heavyweight belt against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303 without him.
Since losing to Dustin Poirier in November 2022, Chandler has stayed out of the ring in preparation for his matchup with McGregor.
While lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan is now serving a nine-month ban for a confrontation with a fan, Makhachev, 32, defended his title against Poirier last month.
