With a majority of almost 10,000, the Reform UK leader will represent the Essex seat of Clacton.
With 21,225 votes, Mr. Farage secured the seat, unseating the Conservatives, who received 12,820 votes in second place.
He made the following statement following the outcome: “I think what Reform UK has achieved in just a few short weeks is truly extraordinary.”
“There’s no enthusiasm whatsoever for Labour,” he continued. There will be problems for this Labour government very soon. You may be sure that we are coming for Labour.
“This is just the beginning of something that will astound everyone.”
Lee Anderson, a former Tory MP who had previously defected from the Tories, became Reform’s first elected MP when he was re-elected in his Ashfield seat.
Under Rishi Sunak, Mr. Anderson served as the deputy chairman of the Conservative Party. However, he was fired earlier this year due to remarks he made regarding Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London.
After that, he joined Reform UK and has managed to stay in his Nottinghamshire seat.
