Punjab’s political landscape continues to evolve, with two independent members of the Provincial Assembly joining the Pakistan Muslim League-N.
On Tuesday, Ahsan Raza Khan (PP-180 Kasur) and Colonel Ghazanfar Qureshi (PP-128 Jhang-4) met with PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz to declare their decision to join the party.
In a meeting presided over by PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Ahsan Raza Khan and Colonel Ghazanfar Qureshi publicly announced their desire to join the party. Their decision represents a purposeful strategy to consolidate political power and build solidarity among opposition members.
Both independent lawmakers expressed gratitude for Maryam Nawaz’s warm welcome and stressed the significance of talking with people before making such a decision.
They stressed their commitment to working in line with the PML-N’s vision and programs, which aim to steer the country toward stability and progress.
In response, Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of collective support in directing the country away from obstacles and toward progress and prosperity. She emphasized her desire to lead Pakistan to stability by addressing current concerns and adopting comprehensive Punjab development initiatives.
This development boosts the PML-N’s position in the assembly, especially in Punjab, where they are now the largest party but need more support to establish a stable administration.
