In response to the amicable relationship between archrivals Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Secretary Information Faisal Karim Kundi stated that both parties have buried their own story.
“Let’s see when PTI founder Imran Khan and Maulana Fazlur Rehman apologize to each other,” Kundi stated on Geo News’ ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada kay Sath’.
Imran and Fazl have long disliked each other, as seen by their previous speeches in which they made different accusations against each other. However, the swing of political circumstances has brought them together, as the PTI seeks to form an alliance with the JUI-F. In a meeting, all parties decided to work together to combat the “massively rigged elections”.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, spokesperson for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), expressed uncertainty about a prospective alliance between the two parties, saying she did not expect the Fazl she knew to join forces with the PTI.
In reaction to Fazl’s interview with a private TV channel, in which he claimed that a general urged him to participate in the no-trust vote against the PTI, the PPP secretary of communication stated that it was natural law that everything returned to its origin.
Kundi stated that, according to Fazl, the no-confidence motion against the PTI government was initiated at the request of generals, but Maulana should also explain who benefited the most after the government was removed.
“Also, state the facts about who committed wrongdoing in which department and looted the state resources,” he said.
He claimed Fazl lost elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but there was uproar in Sindh. He stated that Fazl should inform the people about who requested the sit-in and who ordered it to halt.
Kundi stated that if Fazl’s son had won the Tank election, he would have declared, “Let the system continue; we will be government allies.” Maulana is upset because his son is not yet present in the meeting.
Marriyum, a senior player in the PDM-led administration, stated that the multi-party coalition moved the no-confidence motion against Imran in accordance with constitutional procedures.
