The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched a national campaign to encourage Pakistanis to use social media and the internet more safely.
In order to stop the spread of dangerous and nasty content online, the PTA has made the decision to mobilize the public.
Users are urged to use social media and the internet responsibly by guidelines released by the PTA. It underlined that it is not only unlawful but also punished by law to share or post anything that jeopardizes national defense, integrity, or security.
The PTA has urged people to report any anything they encounter on social media or the internet that is against the law. For additional investigation, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) should be notified of such content.
