Leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Asad Qaiser, declared that the party was not engaging in any backdoor conversations or holding talks with any political party.
In an interview with Geo News on Friday, the former speaker of the National Assembly made it clear that “we are not talking to anyone, not even via backdoor channels.”
His comments follow the party’s repeated declarations that it was prepared to negotiate with any party, with the exception of the three parties that make up the ruling coalition: the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
According to Qaiser, the May 9 incidents served as justification for the party’s targeting.
“A fake government was formed by benefiting one party, however, we will not back out from our stance,”
