Several cities in Pakistan, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, had light to moderate rains on Monday, with the weather improving.
The twin cities had heavy rainfall earlier this morning. Muhammad Saleem, the Managing Director of the Water and Sanitation Agency (LDA), ordered heavy machinery and cancelled personnel leaves.
The MD stated that a drainage operation is underway in low-lying areas, and the Lai Nullah is constantly monitored. Saleem said that the city had received 27 mm of rain thus far.
People in Lahore awoke to nice water as it drizzled in several parts of the city, including Maraghzar Colony, Iqbal Town and Sabzazar, Multan Road, Canal Road, and surrounding regions.
