Cricket Australia has opted to postpone its three-match men’s T20I series against Afghanistan, which was originally slated for August.
The decision was based on the Australian government’s opinion that “conditions for women and girls in Afghanistan are deteriorating.”
According to a CA statement, this is the third time the CA has decided to postpone matches against Afghanistan, having previously done so for an ODI series set for March last year.
Martin Guptill’s cautious 32-ball 50 and Imad Wasim’s five-for helped Islamabad United win the Pakistan Super League for the third time by defeating Multan Sultans in Karachi on Monday.
