# Ukraine Strikes Cargo Ships in Sea of Azov as Putin Prepares Major Address Ukraine has claimed responsibility for striking five cargo vessels operating in the Sea of Azov and waters near Russian occupied territories. Ukrainian officials say the ships were involved in transporting stolen grain, fuel, and military supplies. The operation comes at a critical moment in the war. Russian President Vladimir Putin is preparing to deliver a major speech at an economic forum in St. Petersburg. The development also follows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's recent proposal for direct peace talks with the Russian leader. ## Ukraine Targets Vessels in Occupied Waters According to Ukraine's drone forces commander, the targeted vessels were operating near the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk. Ukrainian authorities accused the ships of secretly moving cargo from occupied territories. Officials stated that the vessels had removed or concealed identifying markings. They also reportedly switched off radar systems to avoid detection while transporting grain, fuel, and military equipment. Ukraine believes these activities helped support Russia's military operations and the movement of resources from occupied areas. ## Azerbaijan Reports Deaths Following Attacks Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry confirmed that five Azerbaijani citizens were killed during attacks involving two of the vessels. The ministry identified the ships as the Nastra and the Circon. However, officials did not directly blame any country for the attacks. They also clarified that the vessels were not owned by Azerbaijan. Ukrainian military officials have not reported any casualties related to the operation. ## Naval Drone Explosion Reported Near Romania In a separate incident, Ukraine confirmed that one of its naval drones exploded off Romania's coastline on Friday. Authorities reported no injuries or damage from the blast. The incident has drawn attention because Romania is a member of NATO and shares a border with Ukraine. Officials have not released additional details about the cause of the explosion. ## Zelensky Highlights Pressure on Russia President Zelensky said Russia is feeling the effects of continued Ukrainian attacks on military and energy infrastructure. He argued that drone and missile strikes, fuel shortages, and rising prices have increased pressure on Russian society. Zelensky also renewed his call for direct talks aimed at ending the conflict. Ukraine has regularly targeted strategic facilities inside Russia. Kyiv says these operations are designed to weaken Russia's ability to sustain the war. ## Putin Arrives in St. Petersburg The latest developments come as President Putin arrives in St. Petersburg for a major economic forum. His visit follows a Ukrainian drone attack that reportedly targeted areas on the outskirts of the city a day earlier. The timing highlights the growing intensity of the conflict as both sides continue military operations while discussing the possibility of future negotiations. ## Growing Tensions in the Region The strikes in the Sea of Azov and the drone explosion near Romania demonstrate how the conflict continues to affect multiple regions beyond the main battlefield. With diplomatic efforts still uncertain, military actions remain a central feature of the war. Both Ukraine and Russia continue to pursue strategic objectives while international observers closely monitor developments.

AI Designed Universal Coronavirus Vaccine Could Help Prevent Future Pandemics Researchers have achieved a major breakthrough in vaccine development by creating the world's first vaccine whose key component was designed entirely by artificial intelligence. Scientists believe this innovation could protect people from a wide range of coronavirus strains and help prevent future pandemics. The research team developed the vaccine to target not only current Covid variants but also animal coronaviruses that could potentially infect humans in the future. Although the project remains in its early stages, scientists are already applying the same technology to develop vaccines for influenza and Ebola. ## A New Approach to Vaccine Development Traditional vaccines usually target a specific virus strain. As viruses mutate over time, vaccine effectiveness can decrease, making regular updates necessary. To overcome this challenge, researchers used genetic information collected from different coronavirus strains identified through global surveillance programs. Artificial intelligence analyzed these genetic sequences and created a unique "super antigen" designed to provide broader protection. This approach helps the immune system recognize and respond to multiple coronavirus variants. It may even offer protection against future strains that have not yet emerged. ## How Artificial Intelligence Designed the Vaccine Scientists fed the AI system genetic data from numerous coronaviruses. The technology identified common features shared across the virus family and designed an antigen that could trigger a broad immune response. Antigens play a crucial role in vaccines because they teach the immune system what to attack when an infection occurs. Researchers say this marks the first time an AI generated antigen has been tested in human clinical trials. The results highlight how artificial intelligence can accelerate vaccine research and improve pandemic preparedness. ## Potential Protection Against Future Outbreaks Experts believe this technology could change how the world responds to infectious diseases. Instead of developing vaccines after an outbreak begins, scientists hope to create vaccines that protect against viruses before they spread widely. This proactive strategy could reduce the impact of future pandemics and improve global health security. By staying ahead of viral mutations, researchers aim to provide longer lasting protection against emerging threats. ## Expanding Beyond Coronavirus The success of this early research has encouraged scientists to explore similar vaccines for other dangerous diseases. Development efforts are already underway for influenza and Ebola vaccines using the same AI driven approach. If successful, this technology could transform vaccine development and help the world prepare more effectively for future health emergencies. ## Looking Ahead While further testing is needed, the early findings represent a significant step forward in medical science. Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly valuable tool in healthcare, and this breakthrough demonstrates its potential to create smarter, faster, and more effective vaccines for future generations.

# Andrew Earned Rental Income From Royal Lodge Cottages, Watchdog Report Reveals A newly released government watchdog report has revealed that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor received rental income by subletting cottages located on the Royal Lodge estate. The report, published by the National Audit Office (NAO), examined royal residences for the first time in two decades. It provides new details about how several royal properties are managed and funded. ## Andrew Received Income From Estate Cottages According to the report, Andrew leased Royal Lodge from the Crown Estate and later sublet three cottages on the estate. The income generated from those rentals has not been publicly disclosed. The report found no evidence of unlawful activity. However, the arrangement is likely to attract public attention because of ongoing concerns about royal finances and property benefits. Andrew took responsibility for major repairs when he signed the lease for Royal Lodge. He reportedly spent around £7.5 million on renovation work. As part of the agreement, he was not required to pay monthly rent for the property. ## Accommodation for Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice The report also revealed that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice live in properties located within Kensington Palace and St James's Palace. Neither princess pays rent directly for these residences. Instead, the rent is covered through the Privy Purse, which consists of the monarch's private funds. Both palace complexes receive maintenance support through the Sovereign Grant, a funding system supported by public money. A palace source stated that the rent paid for the princesses' accommodation is intended to cover any publicly funded costs associated with the properties. The source added that taxpayers should not face additional expenses because of these arrangements. ## Public Scrutiny Over Royal Housing Benefits The report has sparked debate about housing benefits available to non-working members of the Royal Family. Former Home Office minister Norman Baker criticized the arrangements. He argued that providing subsidized accommodation to non-working royals is difficult to justify, especially during a period when many people struggle with rising housing costs and affordability challenges. The report does not disclose the exact amount of rent paid for the princesses' residences. However, it states that the rate is intended to be around 60% of the open market value. While the arrangements remain legal, critics believe they may raise questions about fairness and transparency. ## Palace Highlights Commitment to Transparency A Buckingham Palace spokesperson welcomed the publication of the report and said it reflects the Royal Household's commitment to transparency. The findings offer a rare look into royal property arrangements and funding structures. As public interest in royal finances continues to grow, discussions about housing benefits and property privileges are expected to continue. The report serves as one of the most detailed reviews of royal residences in recent years and provides fresh insight into how these historic properties are managed.

SpaceX Targets Historic IPO With $1.75 Trillion Valuation SpaceX has unveiled its expected share price ahead of its highly anticipated stock market debut. The company has proposed a share price of $135, a move that values the aerospace giant at approximately $1.75 trillion. If successful, the offering could become the largest initial public offering (IPO) ever recorded, surpassing previous records and placing SpaceX among the world's most valuable companies. ## SpaceX Sets Ambitious IPO Goals According to regulatory filings, SpaceX plans to sell shares at an estimated price of $135 each. This valuation marks a significant jump from the company's earlier valuation of $1.25 trillion reported this year. While the proposed price reflects the company's expectations, investors will ultimately determine the final trading value once shares enter the public market. The company intends to begin trading on the Nasdaq on June 12. Industry experts consider the early release of its expected share price unusual because most companies reveal pricing details only one day before trading starts. ## Largest IPO in Market History? SpaceX aims to raise around $75 billion through its public offering. If achieved, the company would break the current IPO fundraising record. At present, the record belongs to Saudi Aramco, which raised $25.6 billion during its 2019 stock market debut. SpaceX's target is nearly three times larger, highlighting strong confidence in the company's future growth. The planned listing has attracted attention from investors worldwide due to the company's leadership position in space technology and satellite communications. ## Strong Business Portfolio Drives Investor Interest SpaceX has built a global reputation through its reusable rocket technology and space exploration programs. The company also operates Starlink, a fast-growing satellite internet service that serves customers across the globe. In addition, SpaceX maintains ownership of artificial intelligence company xAI. These businesses have strengthened the company's market position and contributed to its rising valuation. Analysts believe the combination of aerospace innovation, satellite internet services, and artificial intelligence creates a unique growth opportunity for investors. ## Elon Musk Could Reach New Financial Milestone Elon Musk currently controls more than 80% of SpaceX through his personal shareholdings. If the IPO launches successfully and shares maintain or exceed the proposed price, Musk's wealth could rise dramatically. Some market observers suggest that such a scenario could eventually place him among the first individuals to reach trillionaire status. However, market conditions and investor demand will play a major role in determining the final outcome. Stock prices often fluctuate significantly after a company goes public. ## What Happens Next? Investors are now watching closely as SpaceX prepares for its Nasdaq debut. The company's proposed valuation and fundraising target have already generated significant discussion across financial markets. If the listing meets expectations, it could redefine IPO history and further strengthen SpaceX's position as one of the most influential technology companies in the world.

Senate Republicans Remove $1 Billion White House Ballroom Funding as Immigration Bill Moves Forward Overview of the Senate Vote US Senate Republicans have moved ahead with a delayed immigration funding bill after cutting $1 billion set aside for security upgrades linked to President Donald Trump’s planned White House ballroom project. The decision came during a 53 to 45 vote that allowed the legislation to progress after months of political deadlock. Why the Funding Was Removed The removed funds were originally intended for US Secret Service security improvements tied to construction plans at the White House. These upgrades were requested after a security incident at a gala attended by Trump in April. Republicans argued the ballroom project should not be tied to federal immigration spending. Democrats also pushed back, saying the security funding did not belong in the same package. Trump’s Ballroom Project and Funding Claims Trump has promoted the new ballroom as a necessary addition for hosting official state events and improving security infrastructure. He has also stated that the project would rely on private donations rather than public funds. However, opposition lawmakers have criticised the plan, especially the proposal to build a large structure on the site of the former East Wing of the White House. Immigration Bill Details The wider reconciliation bill includes about $72 billion in funding for immigration agencies, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol. With Senate approval to proceed, lawmakers will now debate amendments before a final vote. The bill must still pass the House of Representatives before reaching the president. Dispute Over DOJ “Anti Weaponisation” Fund The legislation was further slowed by controversy over a proposed Department of Justice plan to create an “anti weaponisation fund” worth $1.8 billion. The idea would have provided compensation to individuals claiming harm from government overreach. Critics described the proposal as politically motivated, while opponents argued it could benefit individuals linked to the 2021 Capitol attack. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed the idea would be dropped but did not formally document the withdrawal. Trump later suggested the plan might still be reconsidered. Several Republican senators, including Thom Tillis, have expressed opposition and indicated plans to introduce legislation to block such a fund. Democrats have also signalled support for restrictions.
