Residents of Karachi may experience extreme heat once more in the days to come as the port city’s temperature is predicted to increase starting on Thursday after experiencing relatively milder days earlier in the week.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its most recent weather forecast, which indicates that Karachi’s temperatures will likely stay hot and muggy for the next two to three days.

Wednesday saw the highest temperature recorded, at 34.7°C, which is roughly within the typical summertime range of 35.7°C.

The Met Office did note that on Thursday and Friday, the temperature is expected to rise above average and reach 36°C.

It is anticipated that the next two days would bring with them more heat and humidity.

But the sea wind will still blow into the city.

The temperature in Karachi dropped earlier this week as the sea breeze returned, relieving the city’s residents who had been living in a heatwave for nearly a month.

The heat wave has been broken in the higher regions of the nation, including several cities in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, by the arrival of rain.
