The 28-year-old athlete wore the shirt, which was sold through auction company Goldin, during a 2022 National Football League (NFL) game against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Daily Mail.
One of the most costly jerseys ever sold, this Mahomes shirt went for a winning bid of $175,000 plus a premium that the buyer ultimately paid, making the final amount a whooping $213,500.
Mahomes led the team to a narrow 30-29 victory in Week 10 of the season by passing for 292 yards and four touchdowns.That season, Kansas City defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a close game to win the Super Bowl.
