Karachi: According to a notice released on Tuesday, the Sindh government opted to move forward as scheduled and said the summer break for schools will run from June 1 to July 31.
The statement from the Sindh Education and Literacy Department stated that the steering committee’s decision governs the summer holiday.
Due to the weather, Sindh was also considering pre-arranging summer vacations, same as Punjab.
Due to the intense heat, the Punjab government had ordered a further seven days off for all public and private institutions from May 25 to May 31.
Due to the severe weather in the city, the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) also decided to postpone the ninth and matric exams from May 21–27.
