This does not mean that everything is okay. The United States and Iran are now in a kind of fight where they are stopping each others ships in the Strait of Hormuz. This is an important place where a lot of oil is transported. The navy is seizing vessels and this is making the situation very unstable.
The Strait of Hormuz is a problem right now. It is a place where a lot of oil goes through and if something happens here it can have consequences. There are a lot of ships in the area and the atmosphere is very tense.
If someone makes a mistake it could lead to a conflict. Even though no one is shooting missiles now the risk of a fight is still very high. This “war of blockades” is very unpredictable and dangerous.
Pakistan is trying to help the United States and Iran make peace. They were supposed to have talks in Islamabad. It has not happened yet. Pakistani officials are still getting ready for the talks. The United States and Iran have not sent their teams yet.
The city is very secure. People were hopeful that something would happen. Now they are not so sure.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan will keep trying to help the United States and Iran make peace. He said that they will not give up.
The problem is that the President of the United States Donald Trump is sending signals. Sometimes he says that they can make a deal. Sometimes he says that he will take severe action. This is causing a lot of confusion and people are not sure what the United States wants to do.
There are also reports that Donald Trump wants to solve the problem because he has some important meetings coming up. He is going to meet King Charles. Then he is going to China.
The fact that there are questions about the leadership in Iran is making it harder to negotiate. If you do not know who is in charge it is hard to make a deal. Diplomacy needs partners and right now that stability is not there.
For now Iran does not want to start fighting. They are already, under a lot of pressure. They do not want to make things worse. The United States and Iran blockade is still a problem and it is not clear what will happen next.
