A drone struck the Tower 22 military station in Jordan on Sunday, killing three US soldiers and injuring over thirty others, according to News18.
President Joe Biden declared that the US “will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner (of) our choosing” in the wake of the strike.
The strike on Sunday targeted the Jordanian Defense Network’s Tower 22 logistics support base, which is strategically significant because it is situated in Jordan at the northeastern border between the country and Syria and Iraq.
The US Central Command said in a statement that “about 350 US Army and Air Force personnel are deployed to the base, conducting several key support functions.”support to the coalition for the lasting defeat of ISIS.”
Tower 22 is situated close to the US military’s Al Tanf facility in Syria. According to Reuters, Tanf has been essential in the war against Daesh and is a component of US policy to restrain Iran’s military build-up in eastern Syria.

According to US media sources, Jordan’s army receives substantial foreign military funding from the US, and it participates in numerous drills with US forces and employs hundreds of US trainers.
Washington has invested millions to assist Amman in establishing the Border Security since the commencement of the Syrian conflict in 2011,a monitoring system to stop “terrorists from Syria and Iraq from infiltrating.”
What specifically went wrong, the kind of weaponry housed at the site, and the air defenses employed are still unknown.
