Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), stated on Monday that they need to get ready for the impending floods and deal with climate change head-on.
Speaking during the commencement of Sindh University, the PPP chairman referred to climate change as the world’s “biggest problem.”
Bilawal called their attention to the problem, stating that it poses a serious risk to our future generations.
In reference to Sindh’s “catastrophic” floods in 2022, the PPP chairman claimed that when snow melts, people must endure significant losses.
In 2022, flash floods in Sindh claimed the lives of over 678 people, according to a report released by the government of Sindh. In addition, the disaster caused 6.8 million people to be displaced, destroyed 3.5 million acres of standing crops, and damaged over 1.6 million homes.
