According to reports, Francis Ford Coppola was “terrified” when he was taken to the hospital due to concerns that he would require extensive heart surgery.
The 86-year-old American filmmaker was recently transported to a hospital in Italy due to post-traumatic stress disorder brought on by surviving polio as a youngster, according to a source who spoke to Radar Online.
According to local media, Coppola may have had a heart issue when he was taken to the hospital on August 5 while in Rome.
The filmmaker of The Godfather traveled to Italy to screen Megalopolis, a $120 million blockbuster, at the Magna Grecia blockbuster Festival in Calabria.
He did, however, reassure his supporters about his well-being in a statement that was released a few hours after the news was released.
