RAWALPINDI: Following the official start of talks between the ruling coalition and the beleaguered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the latter requested the government’s “timeframe” about the status of their demands.
Following a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan, former ruling party chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan told reporters outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail on Tuesday: “There should be progress on our demands within [a specified] time frame.”
He quoted the imprisoned PTI founder, who has been in custody since August of last year after being found guilty in Toshakhana case-I, one of the dozens of cases filed against the former premier since his removal from office in April 2022, when he stated that “dialogues should be held within [a specified] timeframe.”
