In relation to the allegations he was facing in the Rust shooting case, Alec Baldwin has made the decision to file a lawsuit against the prosecutors.
For those who are unaware, the 66-year-old actor was charged with involuntary manslaughter in October 2021 after unintentionally using a pretend gun to shoot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during the filming of Rust.
According to People magazine, the Supercell star filed a legal complaint against the case’s prosecutors for “malicious abuse of process” six months after his trial was canceled in July 2024.
The Atrabilious actor has also charged the Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioners, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, and the Judicial District Attorney with “intentional spoliation of evidence, defamation, and violation of the New Mexico Civil Rights Act.”
