Following a series of raids throughout the nation, Belgian police arrested a number of individuals, including the 36-year-old, on Monday morning.
According to a statement from the prosecutor’s office in Brussels, “The investigation concerns alleged facts of cocaine importation from South America to Europe, via the port of Antwerp, and its redistribution in Belgium.”
The public has not been provided with any additional information.
