Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressed his disapproval of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Thursday over his meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, according to The News on Friday, citing sources. Khan felt that Gandapur ought to have taken a stronger stance rather than agreeing to the appointment of a new inspector general of police (IGP) in the province. The federal government had last week dismissed Akhtar Hayat, allegedly for failing to uphold law and order in the province for a long time, and named Zulfiqar Hameed as the new IGP. The PTI founder, who is currently detained at Adiala jail.
