RAWALPINDI: According to the military’s media arm, security forces killed at least 54 terrorists in the Hassan Khel neighborhood of North Waziristan region on Sunday, thwarting an attempt to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reports that during the night of April 25–26–27, security personnel detected the movement of a group of terrorists attempting to cross the Pakistan–Afghanistan border in the Hassan Khel neighborhood of the North Waziristan province.
“Own forces successfully attacked and stopped their infiltration effort. All 54 khawarij have been consigned to hell as a result of accurate and deft engagement,” it stated.
The state refers to the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as Fitna Al Khawarij.
