According to him, Imran Khan, the previous prime minister, remained steadfast in his commitment to Pakistan, saying that “if the nation is attacked, we are ready to sacrifice our lives.”
Senator Ali Zafar, speaking about regional tensions, criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allowing the military to operate freely, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has not yet done the same for the Pakistani military.
He emphasized that Pakistan believed in peaceful neighborly relations and that Modi’s radical government, not the Indian populace, was the threat to Pakistan.
Ali Zafar also noted that Pakistan’s administration is still playing politics and has left out Imran Khan, while India’s opposition party, the Congress, called for a joint parliamentary session to demonstrate national unity.
