Numbeo, a global statistics website, published a safety index spanning 380 locations worldwide, ranking Islamabad as the 93rd safest city in the world, ahead of several Western capitals, according to the spokesperson for the Islamabad Police.
The police attributed this accomplishment to a notable decrease in crime in 2024–2025, noting 600 fewer crimes than the year before.
The spokesperson further emphasized that Islamabad’s reputation as a safe and stable city was strengthened by the UN’s previous designation of the city as a family station for its employees.
