NOTTINGHAM: Mohammad Abbas, Pakistan’s top red ball fast bowler, dedicated his county championship debut performance in Nottinghamshire to the Pakistani military, which responded appropriately to Indian aggression.
At Trent Bridge, the quick bowler was instrumental in bundling out Hampshire for 196 after tearing through the opposing Hampshire batting order in the first innings with figures of 5 for 31 in 15 overs. In the current County Championship Division One encounter, Nottinghamshire took a commanding 137-run lead thanks to his destructive seam bowling session.
