After Israel attacked Iran, killing top officials and hitting 100 targets, including military and nuclear facilities, world leaders called for moderation on Friday.
Israel’s strikes killed at least 20 senior Iranian officers, including Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the chief of the revolutionary guards, according to two regional sources who spoke to Reuters.
Iran will force Israel to “regret” its deadly attack, according to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s legitimate and powerful response will make the enemy regret its foolish act,” Pezeshkian said in a video message that was shown on state television. “The Iranian nation and the country’s officials will not remain silent in the face of this crime,”
