In the budget for the next fiscal year, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has proposed a revised schedule of fines for moving offenses. Additionally, it has distinct slabs for minor drivers and three-wheeled vehicles.
The finance bill states that loader trucks, rickshaws, and chingchis would now be classified as three-wheeled vehicles.
The recommended fine range for traffic infractions involving these cars is between Rs. 200 and Rs. 10,000.
For the first infraction of the route permission, a punishment of Rs5,000 is envisaged under the new proposed laws; for successive infractions, the penalty is doubled.
